The Christmas Holidays are fast approaching. Now I’m not one to get into the holiday spirits but I can be persuaded on occasion. The Murfreesboro H.O.G. Chapter has one such event that does just that. For me Christmas is all about the kids.

The chapter recently enjoyed our annual toy run and Christmas party for some kids in the area. We have our very own version of Saint Nick. Talk about a logistical nightmare, have you tried to get Mr. And Mrs. Clause scheduled for a public appearance this time of year? One thing about our chapter is the can do attitude. With some persuasion we were able to get the jolly old Man and his lovely bride to drop by for a visit. As you can see by the smiles on the children’s faces of both young and old, a good time was had by all.

Each child had their picture made with Santa and received gifts. They also picked a gift from under the tree. Did I mention we had lots of good food too? Pizza was the main course and lots of cookies, pies and cakes were also devoured.

I’m not sure who enjoys this annual event more. The children obviously have a great time. I must admit that this even puts my bah-humbug ass into the Christmas spirit. All of the Chapter Family really has a blast with this. After all isn’t Christmas really for the kids?

Tell me what special things you or your group does for Christmas. Surely some of you have traditions.
